Facility Information
Mt. Carmel Spiritual Centre
Mount Carmel offers hospitality and the use of their conference facilities to many groups so that they may pursue their own spiritual programs. The Centre is located on 12 acres with wooded areas, open spaces and gardens within walking distance of Niagara Falls.
There are 43 bedrooms in the main retreat centre. 38 rooms have 2 twin beds and a private bath, while couples are booked into one of the 5 rooms with a queen or double bed. Therefore there are usually two people to a room unless you register as a single. Additionally, there is an overflow area in Avila House, an annex building on the grounds with 18 rooms once the main building has been booked. Each overflow room is single with a shared bath/toilet area.

Emergency Information
If you need to leave an emergency number, the Centre office is: 905-356-4113. Voice messages can be left day or night and all messages are either posted on the bulletin board by the office or if urgent, the retreat manager will locate you.
Pets
For health and safety purposes, no pets are allowed at Mt. Carmel.
Smoke-free Facility
All rooms (bedrooms and meeting) are smoke-free.
House Rules & Check-Out Time

Smoking is not allowed in any of the buildings.

No candles/incense allowed in bedrooms/meeting rooms

Do not attach pictures/documents to the walls unless an appropriate ‘sticky tack’ is used which prevents damage. Charges will incur for any damage to walls or floors.

Illegal drugs are not allowed on the premises.

Ample parking is provided in designated areas only. Unloading of luggage in the circle drive by the office is allowed, then your vehicle needs to be moved to the designated parking. Do not leave your car for a long period in the circle.

Please use waste receptacles provided in the washrooms, esp. for sanitary products.

Please do not leave any valuables in your car and ensure it is locked before checking-in. Mt. Carmel is close to transient tourists and unfortunately these precautions are necessary.

Check-out time is during the breakfast break on the last day; however if another group is not scheduled for the next day; it could be after lunch and will be announced during the retreat.
